We do the following
Attempt
to change
public opinion with regard to the problem of indigence among the youths
and more especially the unequal social configuration that propels young
women and girls in our society to become victims of early sexual
harassment and victimization:
We work with policy-makers, the news media, state and local leaders, and
other influencers
of society to underscore the scope of the unplanned and teen pregnancy problem and
the very strong connection between preventing unplanned and teen
pregnancy and improving overall child and family well-being.
Develop, produce, and disseminate a wide range of materials—from cutting
edge research
to posters, postcards, and online public service announcements.
Encourage careful and consistent use of family planning by all who are
sexually active and not seeking pregnancy.
Encourage responsible and healthy relationships among young adults to help
them achieve their future family and career goals. Support practical,
evidence-based policies that advance our mission.
Educate policymakers on the task ahead of us.
The National Campaign regularly advises
national and state policymakers and their staff, and provides testimony on
unplanned and teen pregnancy
and related issues
